Where to buy Satisfactory and how to pay

There is one edition of Satisfactory and it is the whole game: £33.50 on Steam, £32.99 on the PlayStation Store and £33.49 on the Xbox Store. During early access it cost £27.99; the price rose when version 1.0 launched in September 2024, and Coffee Stain announced the change months ahead so early buyers could get in first.

The only paid extra is a £6.69 soundtrack. The weather, world settings and graphics upgrade in update 1.2 cost nothing.

Epic's UK page would not show us a price on the day we checked. Steam and Epic copies share saves and can play together once an Epic account is linked.

Subscriptions that include it

Neither Game Pass nor the PS Plus catalogue lists Satisfactory. You can try it for free on Xbox, and PlayStation Plus Premium members get an eight-hour trial of the full game, with progress carrying over if you buy.

What you are paying for

You land on a 30-square-kilometre alien planet and build factories you can walk through, from the first hand-fed smelter to multi-storey production lines served by belts, trucks, trains and pneumatic tubes. Progress is paced by milestones and a space elevator you feed with ever more complex parts.

HowLongToBeat players report about 111 hours for the main goals and more than 220 for everything. Up to four players can build together, and PC players can run their own dedicated servers for free.

PC or console: choose once

There is no cross-buy and no save transfer between PC and console, so moving later means buying again and starting over. PlayStation and Xbox players can play together, but PC and console players cannot, and consoles have no mods. Multiplayer on every platform needs a free Epic Games account, which the game can create for you.
