Where to buy Euro Truck Simulator 2 and how to pay

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is sold only through Steam in practice: even the official website's buy button sends you there. The base game lists at £16.89 and on the day we checked was £4.22 in a 75% sale ending 1 October 2026. One purchase covers Windows, Mac and Linux.

Steam lists 94 paid add-ons. The ten map expansions, which add whole regions such as Scandinavia, Italy, Iberia and the Nordic countries, total £138.40 at full price. Nine cargo packs cost £4.29 each, and 56 paint-job packs cost mostly 84p or £1.69. Nine add-ons with licensed trucks are free. Everything together comes to £301.06, or £317.95 with the game.

The official website's buy button leads to Steam. PS5 and Xbox Series versions are announced but have no price or date; SCS says consoles will get add-ons in bundles.

What you are paying for

You drive licensed lorries across a scaled-down Europe, delivering cargo to earn in-game money, then buy garages, hire drivers and grow a haulage company. There is no story and no hurry: many people play it to unwind, with a wheel or a controller and a podcast on.

HowLongToBeat players report about 45 hours for a main career and hundreds for everything. SCS keeps rebuilding older regions for free (Germany in 2024, Scandinavia in 2025, the Benelux in 2026, with the UK next), and friends can drive together in the free Convoy multiplayer mode. Mods and a level editor are supported through the Steam Workshop.

How the bundles really work

Steam shows three bundles: Premium (12 items, £42.44), Deluxe (18 items, £76.60) and Ultimate (35 items, £97.30), each discounting the items inside by 40% to 50%. They are 'complete the set' bundles, so you pay only for what you do not yet own, and none of them contains all 94 add-ons.

Our advice: buy the base game in a sale, play the free map for a while, then add the one region you most want to drive. Map expansions are regularly half price, which brings a £14.99 region down to about £7.49.
