Where to buy Diablo IV and how to pay

The base game costs £41.99 on Steam and £49.99 on the PlayStation and Xbox stores. The Lord of Hatred expansion, released in April 2026, costs £35.99 and already includes the earlier Vessel of Hatred expansion; you need it for three of the classes. The Age of Hatred Collection bundles the game and both expansions for £62.99 on every platform, and it is the only version sold on Switch 2.

Lord of Hatred's Deluxe (£54.99) and Ultimate (£79.99) editions add cosmetics, a pet, storage and, in the Ultimate, 3,000 Platinum and a battle pass. Those extras are what separates the editions; the game content is the same.

Every version needs a Battle.net account and a permanent internet connection, including on Steam and consoles.

Battle.net shows prices only after signing in, so we could not confirm them. On the PlayStation Store the base game is £29.99 until 7 October 2026.

Subscriptions that include it

The base game is in PC Game Pass and in the Premium and Ultimate tiers of Xbox Game Pass. The expansions are not, but Game Pass members get about 20% off the Age of Hatred Collection on Xbox (£50.39). A month of Game Pass is the cheapest way to find out whether the seasonal loop suits you.

In-game money: Platinum

Platinum buys cosmetic bundles in the in-game shop and the paid tracks of the seasonal battle pass. On Steam the packs run from 500 for £4.39 to 18,500 for £125.99; larger packs include extra Platinum on top, and PlayStation lists the biggest at £123.99. Every shop item is a fixed, named cosmetic with no effect on your character's power.

The Premium battle pass costs exactly 1,000 Platinum, so the £8.39 pack covers it with nothing left over. Cosmetic bundles are priced in other amounts, which is where odd leftovers come from.

What you are paying for

You pick a class and fight through a bleak campaign in a shared open world, then settle into an endgame of dungeons, bosses and gear upgrades. Seasons arrive roughly every three months with new mechanics and a fresh seasonal character.

HowLongToBeat players report about 26 hours for the campaign and around 10 more for each expansion story, with no real end to the endgame. You can play solo or with up to three others online, and two can share a sofa on consoles.

The battle pass, costed

Each season has a free reward track. The Premium track costs 1,000 Platinum, which is £8.39 as a pack; a Deluxe bundle with extra cosmetics costs more. Buying the Premium pass every season works out at roughly £34 a year on top of the game. None of it is needed to play or progress.

Blizzard refunds games and expansions within 14 days if you have played less than two hours, and unspent purchased Platinum within 14 days; items you have bought with Platinum are generally final.
