Alan Wake 2: £10 cheaper on PC, but only on one shop
Remedy's horror sequel collected three awards at The Game Awards 2023 and sells nothing inside the game. Paying for it means choosing between three shops and two editions, and PC players have exactly one option.

Where to buy Alan Wake 2 and how to pay
On PC Alan Wake 2 is sold only on the Epic Games Store, where the standard edition costs £39.99 and the Deluxe Edition £54.99. It has never been released on Steam. On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S the same editions cost £49.99 and £64.99, £10 more each. There are no versions for PS4, Xbox One or Switch.
The Deluxe Edition adds the Expansion Pass (the Night Springs episodes and The Lake House) plus some outfits and a weapon skin. Owners of the standard game can add the same for £15 on any of the three shops; the two expansions are not sold separately.

Epic's prices come from a public price tracker because Epic's own page would not load for our check; they match the last listed UK prices. The PlayStation Store has the Deluxe Edition at £19.49 until 7 October 2026.
Subscriptions that include it
Alan Wake 2 is not in any subscription today. It was a PlayStation Plus monthly game in October 2025, so if you claimed it then it stays playable while your subscription continues.

What you are paying for
Two stories run side by side: FBI agent Saga Anderson investigating ritual killings in a small Pacific Northwest town, and the writer Alan Wake trapped in a nightmare version of New York. You switch between them, piecing clues together on a case board and fighting with torchlight and scarce ammunition.
HowLongToBeat players report about 19 hours for the story and 33 to finish everything; each expansion adds two to three hours. It is single-player with no online requirement, and a free update added New Game+ and a harder Nightmare difficulty. On PC it needs an SSD and a modern graphics card.
Why only Epic on PC
Epic Games published Alan Wake 2, so the PC version sits on its store alone. Epic accepts cards, PayPal and several digital wallets, offers self-service refunds within set limits and returns a small percentage of each purchase as store credit through Epic Rewards. If you have never used Epic, you will need a free account and its launcher.
