Paying on GOG: DRM-free games and a 30-day refund
Every GOG game comes free of DRM: the installer you download works offline and can be backed up like any other file. It also has the most forgiving refund policy of any shop on our list.
Cards, PayPal and a long list of local methods shown at checkout, including Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported. Refunds within 30 days, even after playing.

The GOG Wallet
You can top up the Wallet separately or take a refund into it. It holds up to the equivalent of US$500, with a daily limit of US$1,000 in and out, and each currency has its own balance. Wallet money has no value outside GOG and cannot be transferred, but unused top-ups can be refunded within 30 days.
GOG always lets you switch to US dollars; if you do, your card provider may charge a conversion fee, so stay in pounds.
Refunds
For a month after buying, GOG will take a game back whether or not you have installed and played it, provided the request is not an abuse of the policy. Pre-orders can be refunded any time before release and then for 30 days after. You can take the money to your Wallet within a day or back to the original method, which can take up to 30 days. If support cannot fix a technical problem within 30 days, you get a full refund.
Family controls
GOG does not offer parental spending controls, so for a child's account use the controls on the device or payment method instead.
